Palumbo worked as an accountant before starting his professional poker career . He lives in Genoa .

Poker career

Palumbo played online from January 2007 to April 2019 under the nicknames sephirot88 ( PokerStars ) , RoccoGe (PokerStars.IT) , RoccoPa ( Full Tilt Poker ) , sephir0t ( 888poker and Americas Cardroom) and sephir0t88 (PokerStars.FR) . During this period he won with tournament poker nearly 5 million US dollars , with the majority of more than 3 million US dollars , PokerStars has been obtained. In 2016, Palumbo was temporarily in sixth place in the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide. Since 2009 he has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments.

Palumbo earned his first live prize money at smaller tournaments in Sanremo and Saint-Vincent . In October 2011 he reached the final table at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Sanremo, where he finished seventh, endowed with 95,000 euros .
