Roda is a district of the municipality of Nünchritz in the district of Meißen in Saxony .

history

For Roda, west of Großenhain , a knight's seat was mentioned for the first time in 1365 and a Vorwerk in 1474 .

The name of the place suggests that Roda was created on a cleared area.

In 1551, the place was partly Prokuraturamtsdorf and belonged to the Glaubitz manor . His rule exercised inheritance and jurisdiction from 1696. At the same time, the place belonged partly to the Roda manor and was a Prokuraturamtsdorf. There is evidence that Roda belonged to the castrum Großenhain in 1378 and to the office of Großenhain in 1547 . Since 1590 it has been shown as part of the authorities in Grossenhain and Meißen. In 1843 it was the responsibility of the Grossenhain Office. From 1856 it was under the jurisdiction of the Grossenhain court office and from 1875 under the authority of Grossenhain . The property originally belonged to the monastery in Großenhain. After the Reformation, the von Pflugk family owned the farm for some time . At the beginning of the 19th century, the manor was owned by the von Odeleben family. It was then owned by the Seyferth family. In 1828 Mr. Scholz was a lord on Roda. It was owned by the von Palm family around 1860 and belonged to Mr Kroeber from 1890, who sold it in 1932. A labor service camp was then set up, which was later taken over by the Reich Labor Service. The last owner before the Second World War was Otto Gröschel. The initials OG above a door of the house still indicate this. After the Second World War, the Vorwerk was used by an association. Roda has been pasture to Wildenhain since 1539 and has been part of the Wildenhain-Walda parish since 1939. Since 1827 the Roda students went to school in Zschaiten. Since the school was closed in 1978/79, the pupils have been sent to Nünchritz. On July 1, 1950, Roda was incorporated into Zschaiten. Roda has been part of Nünchritz since July 1, 1973.
