Rodolfo das Mercês de Oliveira Pena (born September 24, 1890 in Congonhas , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † January 24, 1975 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Valença .

Life

Rodolfo das Mercês de Oliveira Pena received on 14 April 1914, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 8, 1935, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Barra . The Archbishop of Mariana , Helvécio Gomes de Oliveira SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on September 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Diamantina , Carlos Carmelo de Vasconcelos Motta , and the bishop of Caratinga , José Maria Parreira Lara .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on January 3, 1942 Bishop of Valença. On December 9, 1960, Pope John XXIII. the resignation put forward by Rodolfo das Mercés de Oliveira Pena and appointed him titular bishop of Apollonis . Oliveira Pena renounced the titular bishopric of Apollonis on December 14, 1970.
