Rodrigo Eduardo Costa Marinho , called Rodriguinho , (born March 27, 1988 in Natal , RN ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The right footer plays in the position of an attacking midfielder.

Career

Rodriguinho received his athletic training at the lower class ABC Natal in his hometown Natal . Here he also made the leap into the professional squad in 2007. With the team he was able to win the state championship of Rio Grande do Norde in 2007 and 2009. After the 2009 season, the club had to the Série C dismount. The player then sought a change.

With his move in 2010 to the second division club CA Bragantino from Bragança Paulista , the player was then able to keep the league personally. Just a year later he was signed by America Mineiro , who played in the top Brazilian season in the 2011 season. In his first season he was able to score six goals in 36 games, but not prevent the club's relegation. This only achieved the penultimate place in the table.

Again he only made a personal rise by being signed by Corinthians São Paulo in August 2013 . Here he played the rest of the season, but was loaned out at the coach's request to be able to sign other players. After stints at Grêmio Porto Alegre and al-Sharjah , he returned to São Paulo for the 2015 season. Here he was able to contribute two goals to the sixth title of the club in ten games.

In July 2018, Rodriguinho moved to Pyramids FC in Egypt for a transfer fee of 22.6 million reais . His contract ran until the end of 2019. Corinthians received 50% of the transfer fee. The rest was split between Capivariano FC (40%) and América Mineiro (10%). Rodriguinho played his first game in the Egyptian Premier League on August 3, 2018, the first matchday of the 2018/19 season, against the ENPPI Club . In that game he was in the starting line-up. Rodriguinho went back to Brazil after just six months.

Rodriguinho moved to Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte for a transfer fee of five million euros . Cruzeiro has to pay four million of the transfer fee in two installments, one million will be taken over by one of Cruzeiro's sponsors. At the club he received a three-year contract until the end of 2021. Rodriguinho played his first game for Cruzeiro on February 3, 2019 in the state championship of Minas Gerais . In the away game against Villa Nova AC he was in the starting line-up. One match day later, on February 10, 2019, he scored the first goal for Cruzeiro . In the home game against Tupynambás FC Rodriguinho scored the interim 2-0 in the 45th minute (final score -3-0). After descending from Cruzeiro at the end of season 2019 in the Série B , Rodriguinho was released in February 2020, with the club retained 20% of the economic rights.

On February 17, 2020, EC Bahia announced the acquisition of 40% of the transfer rights and thus the commitment of Rodriguinho Marinho.
