Hot Patch (Original Title: Rogue Cop ) is a 1954 Roy Rowland film with Robert Taylor , Janet Leigh and George Raft in the lead roles. It is assigned to the genre of film noir . The story is based on the novel of the same name by William Peter McGivern.

Detective Christopher Kelvaney works with gangster Beaumonte. The gangster syndicate tries to bribe the patrolman and brother of Kelvaney as well. However, he refuses and is then killed. Christopher becomes aware of his mistakes and vows to avenge the death of his brother Eddie.
