course

The Rohrbach arises under the name Riedbach next to the Riedholz at about 440  m above sea level. NN , about 800 meters north of the Friedrichshafener Kappelhof directly on the St.-Johann-Straße crossing it in the boggy area of Unteres Ried , which it drains to the south; just across the street, a smaller ditch also called Riedbach (with the river code number 21559242) flows north to the Langenwiesengraben , which drains over the Brunnisach into Lake Constance.

The Riedbach runs in an almost straight line through its narrow valley depression with no significant gradient - less than six meters for the first approximately 2.5 km - in the direction of the Friedrichshafen- Ailingen hamlet of Köstenbach; on the first section to about the Kappelhof it is the boundary between Friedrichshafen and the neighboring municipality of Oberteuringen in the east, after which it remains in Friedrichshafen area. About 2.5 km below the origin, from the settlement boundary of Köstenbach ( 434.4  m above sea level ), the body of water is called Rohrbach .

Below Köstenbach, the stream now flows noticeably less directionally and with a steeper slope through an incipient cut in the terrain - after another 1.2 km it stands at 420.8  m above sea level. NN  - accompanied by a wood gallery between agricultural areas to the southeast. To the north-east of the brook lies the Friedrichshafen village of Berg , to the south-west of the Jettenhausen district , both of which are at least 500 meters away. 600 meters from its mouth, it reaches the Rohrbach industrial park, on the border of which it is from the Gewann in the north of Hühnerbach at 408.4  m above sea level. NN its only significant, about one kilometer long tributary (with river code number 21552762) from the southern edge of Berg in the right valley of the Rotach falls, which falls below 420  m above sea level. NN arises. The Rohrbach runs through the industrial area in the loops of a wide green belt.

It finally flows into the eastern edge of Jettenhausen opposite the junction of Müllerstrasse from Teuringer Strasse at about 405  m above sea level. NN from the right and north-west into the Rotach , which pours down about three and a half kilometers into Lake Constance.
