Roland Kieber

Roland Kieber (born August 15, 1969 in Flensburg ) is an Austrian actor of German origin.

Life

Kieber was born in Flensburg. He completed his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant with stays abroad in the United States and Paris in Hamburg . Afterwards, Kieber actually wanted to work in the marketing or advertising industry, but then decided on acting. From 1992 to September 1995 he studied acting at the stage studio of the performing arts in Hamburg. In 1998 he took further lessons at the Actors Studio in Los Angeles .

He had his first stage engagements during his acting training at the Hamburg St. Pauli Theater (1993–1996; in “ Kiss Me, Kate ”) and then at the Bad Hersfeld Festival in “ The Taming of the Shrew ” (1996; director: Volker Lechtenbrink ). Since 1995 he has appeared regularly at the Imperial Theater in Hamburg, initially in the musicals “ Grease ” (1995) and “Conditions like in ancient Rome” (1996/1997). From 2003 he played there mainly in crime plays by Agatha Christie and Edgar Wallace . He stepped there u. a. as Giles Ralstom in " Die Mausefalle " (premiere: 2003; revival: 2007), as theater agent and producer William Holbrook in " The Avenger " (premiere: 2005), as "good-looking, jovial bon vivant" George Bowley in "Der Unheimliche" ( Premiere: 2006), as Tony Wendice in " On Call - Mord " (Premiere: 2007), in " Der Grüne Archer " (Premiere: 2008), in "Der Engel des Schreckens" (Premiere: 2010), in " Der Hund von Baskerville ”(premiere: 2011), as Hannes Repp / alternating as Bruno Kamp in“ Polizeirevier Davidswache ”(premiere: 2012) and as Samuel Hackitt / Dr. Lommond in " The Witcher ". In 2013 he played the male lead in “ Midnight Spikes ” at the Imperial Theater ; In 2014 then the FBI boss Mr. High in the world premiere of the crime play "Jerry Cotton ... chasing the New York Ripper".

From the mid-1990s, Kieber took on his first small roles in television series. In 1998 he was with Unter Uns for almost a year . In 1999/2000 he had a continuous supporting role in the ARD early evening series Verbotene Liebe . He played the French Etienne Beaucaire, the husband of the series character Jule Roth ( Tanja Lanäus ). In the ZDF series Herzflimmern - Liebe zum Leben he was seen in a supporting role in 2012; he played the gynecologist Dr. Jens Heine. Kieber had episode roles a. a. in the series Adelheid and their murderers (1999; as patrol officer Hans Goltermann), Broti & Pacek - Something is always (2003; as Sergio), The rescue pilots (2004; as Nico's father), Now even more! (2005; as a discotheque owner and barkeeper), There comes Kalle (2006), Notruf Hafenkante (2009; as school director) and men! - Everything at the beginning (2015).
