Roman Gregory (born March 2, 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician , comedian and presenter .

Originally a repro technician by profession, Gregory founded the quintet Alkbottle in 1990 , which debuted in 1993 with the CD "No sleep till Meidling". In 1994 the second album "Blader, fetter, louder & a bit more" was released. Alkbottle played as the opening act for Deep Purple , Kiss , Bon Jovi , JBO , Ozzy Osbourne and ZZ Top and toured Austria, Germany , Italy and the Netherlands .

In 1997 Roman Gregory completed a speaker training course at the School of Speaking in Vienna. Alkbottle announced the temporary end of the band in 1998. In the same year he became a freelance writer and speaker for the private radio station Antenne Wien. In 1999 he changed to the radio station Ö3 of the ORF as author and speaker.

In 2000 he rapped with the musical actors Georgij Alexandrowitsch Makazaria and Máté Kamarás for the rap group Ohrrausch and was able to reach the top 3 with “Siegerstrasse”. For this, the group was later nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award .

He also appeared in the musical “Falco Cyber ​​Show” (director: Paulus Manker ) in the Vienna establishment Ronacher and released his first solo album, “Gregory - Beyond Good and Evil” on Sony-BMG . In 2002 the reunion of Alkbottle took place. In 2004 he played a guest role as a drug dealer in the television series Commissioner Rex . In the same year he also started his solo music cabaret “St. Martin - Roman Gregory sings Dean Martin ”in the Viennese dance. In 2005 he took part in the Austria for Asia charity project for the victims of the 2004 seaquake in the Indian Ocean with 60 local artists. In the same year he also became a member of the advice team in the weekly TV comedy show " Genial beseben - The Comedy Arena " on the Austrian private broadcaster ATV . In 2012, the photos for the “Mozart Project” by the photo artist Stefan Dokoupil were taken in collaboration with Roman Gregory as Mozart, which caused controversial reactions.

Roman Gregory has been President of the SC Wiener Viktoria football club since 2006 . In 2008 he was a member of the Starmania jury .
