Roman Sergejewitsch Berdnikow ( Russian Роман Сергеевич Бердников ; born July 18, 1992 in Omsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in the Vysschaja Hockey League since May 2017 .

Career

Roman Berdnikow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Awangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2007 to 2009 . He spent the 2009/10 season with the Owen Sound Attack in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League . Then the winger first returned to Awangards junior team Omskije Jastreby from the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga , before he joined again in the middle of the 2010/11 season Owen Sound Attack from the OHL. With Owen Sound he won the J. Ross Robertson Cup , the championship title of the OHL, at the end of the season . As a result, he qualified with his team for the Memorial Cup , the final tournament for the championship of the Canadian Hockey League , but could not prevail there with his team.

For the 2011/12 season , Bernikow was again obliged by HK Avangard Omsk, for whose professional team he ran out in the Continental Hockey League , but was also used at Omskije Jastreby until 2014.

In May 2015 HK Awangard Berdnikow exchanged for Kirill Gawrilytschew from Metallurg Novokuznetsk . Shortly after the start of the 2015/16 season, he and Sergei Dorofejew were given to Severstal Tscherepowez in exchange for Ignat Semchenko .

International

For Russia , Berdnikow took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2010 . During the tournament he scored two goals and four assists in seven games.
