Sergei Alexejewitsch Dorofejew ( Russian Сергей Алексеевич Дорофеев ; born August 26, 1986 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract at ASC Corona 2010 Brașov in the multinational First League since 2018 .
Career
Sergei Dorofejew began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Krylya Sovetov Moscow , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, in the 2003/04 season . In the 2005/06 season , the defender rose with Krylja Sowetow in the super league , from which he had to accept direct relegation with his team in the following season . After another season in the Wysschaja Liga, he joined the HK MWD Balaschicha from the newly established Continental Hockey League for the 2008/09 season . In his first season in the KHL he scored one goal and one assist in 30 games. He also started the 2009/10 season at HK MWD, for which he only played three times in the KHL. He spent the entire rest of the season as a regular at the second division club THK Tver .
In the 2010/11 season Dorofejew stood for HK Sarov in the new second Russian division, the Wysschaja Hockey League , on the ice. For the following season he was committed by KHL participant Amur Khabarovsk . In this he stayed in 16 games without a point or penalty before his contract was prematurely terminated in December 2011.
Between December 2011 and 2014 he played for Toros Neftekamsk and THK Tver in the second division before he was signed by Metallurg Novokuznetsk in September 2014 . Shortly after the start of the 2015/16 season, he and Roman Berdnikow were given to Severstal Tscherepowez in exchange for Ignat Semchenko .
From August 2016 Dorofejew was under contract with HK Nyoman Hrodna in the Belarusian extra league and won the Belarusian championship title with this in 2017 . He was also named the best defender in the Extraliga.
