Ron Eschete

Ron Eschete (* 19th August 1948 in Houma (Louisiana) as Ronald Patrick Eschete ) is an American guitarist of modern jazz and music teacher.

Live and act

Eschete received with 14 guitar lessons from his father, played shortly thereafter already in a quartet and then moved to New Orleans to attend the Loyola University New Orleans to study classical guitar. He also worked in jazz clubs . After going on tour with Buddy Greco and working in a show band in Las Vegas in 1968 and 1969 , he worked as a lecturer in Los Angeles , first at the Guitar Institute of Technology , but then also at some universities. He also played in his own bands, such as his trio with Todd Johnson (bass) and Kendall Kay (drums), and as a soloist. He was also involved in recordings by musicians such as Dave Pike (1970), Milt Jackson , Gene Harris (1975), Warne Marsh , Don Rader , Jack McDuff , Ray Brown , James Zollar and Ernestine Anderson . He has also performed with Ella Fitzgerald , Sarah Vaughan , Dizzy Gillespie and Diana Krall . In the field of jazz he was involved in 96 recording sessions between 1975 and 2012, including a. with Yasuko Agawa , Keely Smith , Ray Anthony , Andy Simpkins , Tommy Gumina , Charlie Shoemake and Mary Stallings .

Eschete, who plays the seven-string guitar and is considered a highly accomplished guitarist, has also authored several textbooks.
