Career

At a junior tennis competition in Paris , the two sealed their collaboration and the Lower Austrian has been Muster's coach ever since. After that, Muster's career took off. After the 1989 Key Biscayne car accident , Leitgeb trained him for his comeback. In 1996, seven years later, his protégé was number one in the tennis world rankings . In addition to Thomas Muster, Leitgeb also trained the Italian tennis player Andrea Gaudenzi .

After Muster's career ended in 1999, Leitgeb trained as a mental coach in Bregenz . In Monaco , where he has had his main residence since 1985, Leitgeb developed his Champ concept from 2000 with a new holistic - both physiological and mental - approach to proactive health promotion . From April 1, 2012 to February 28, 2015, Leitgeb was President of the Austrian Tennis Association .

In the Vienna Twin Towers he runs his company Champ for event management (brand name “Champ Event”) and an “Institute for Workplace Health Promotion” under the brand name “Champ Health & Fitness”. While Champ originally addressed its offer to companies that wanted to give their employees the opportunity to take advantage of comprehensive exercise and health offers, the offer was later expanded to include private individuals.

Life

Ronnie Leitgeb has been married to Bettina Steigenberger since July 2008. At her husband's request, Bettina, the youngest daughter of the former Steigenberger hotelier family , gave up her traditional name and adopted the name Leitgeb.
