Ronan Quemener (born February 13, 1988 in Paris ) is a French ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with Dornbirner EC in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

Career

Ronan Quemener began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of various teams from Brittany. The goalkeeper then moved in 2004 to the youth division of the Dragons de Rouen , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Ligue Magnus , the top French division, in the 2007/08 season . As a substitute behind the Slovak Ramón Sopko , he won the French championship title and the Coupe de la Ligue with the Dragons de Rouen this season . From 2009 to 2011 he played for their league rivals Rapaces de Gap , where he became a regular goalkeeper and where he could convince with good performances. In 2010 he was awarded the Trophée Jean-Pierre Graff as Rookie of the Year of the Ligue Magnus and in 2011 with the Trophée Jean Ferrand as the best goalkeeper in the league.

For the 2011/12 season Quemener received a contract with the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble . After the season he moved within the Ligue Magnus to the Diables Rouges de Briançon .

International

For France , Quemener took part in the 2011 World Cup. As the third goalkeeper, he was left behind Cristobal Huet and Fabrice Lhenry .
