Bianca Rosa Salazar (born July 16, 1985 in Washington, DC ) is an American actress .

life and career

Rosa Salazar grew up in Greenbelt , Maryland, USA . As a young woman, she moved to New York because of her acting job on the sketch show CollegeHumor . She has lived in Los Angeles since 2009 .

Salazar began her career in 2010 in one of the episodes of Old Friends . This was followed by a guest appearance in Law & Order: LA in 2011 and a supporting role in the first season of American Horror Story . Rosa Salazar became known for the role of Zoe DeHaven in the NBC television series Parenthood . In the dramedy she was seen in a supporting role from 2011 to 2012. She then did a few guest roles in various television series.

In 2014 she received roles in the science fiction films The Determination - Insurgent and Maze Runner - The Chosen in the Burning Desert , each based on successful novels. The two films were released in the spring and fall of 2015. In December 2018, the movie Bird Box - Shut your eyes , appeared on the Netflix streaming service , in which she played a supporting role alongside Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich . In February 2019, the film Alita: Battle Angel , in which she embodies the main character, was released.
