Origin and meaning of the name

In Christianity, the name is interpreted as Latin 'the rose-like' as an honorary title of Mary, mother of Jesus or as a derivation of rosario ' rosary ' and related to the rosary festival. The name became popular with the inclusion of the Sicilian saint Rosalia Sinibaldi (12th century) in the Roman calendar of saints in 1630.
