Rosaria Console (born December 17, 1979 in Martina Franca ) is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon .

The Apulian started running at the age of eleven , encouraged by her brother. Her greatest success on the track was a second place at the U23 European Championships in 1999. Two years later she won the Maratona di Sant'Antonio in Padua in 2:30:55 h and was nominated for the marathon of the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton , at which she took 20th place.

The following year she was third in the Turin Marathon and fifth in the 2002 European Championships in Munich . In 2003 she set her best time of 2:27:48 h as second in the Paris Marathon , was Italian champion in the half marathon and second in the Milan marathon .

At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 , she finished 16th. Earlier this year she was third in the Rome Marathon and winner in the Vienna City Marathon .

At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki she came in 19th place, at the 2006 European Championships she fell after a collision and had to give up early.

Nicknamed "Rosalba", the runner is 1.60 m tall, weighs 42 kg and is trained by Piero Incalza. She has been married to Daniele Caimmi , also a successful marathon runner, since 2004 and has had a daughter since 2007.
