Rosenhagen is a district of the town of Dassow in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Steep coast near Rosenhagen

The place is six kilometers north-northwest of Dassow. The Rosenhagen district extends in the north to the Bay of Lübeck and has a beach and shore portion of a good two kilometers on the Baltic Sea . The dunes and beach ridges as well as the cliff coast in the north belong to the nature reserve coastal landscape between Priwall and Barendorf with Harkenbäkniederung . The same applies to parts of the area in the east, where the Harkenbäk is located and which in large parts represents the eastern boundary of the district.

The neighboring towns are Barendorf in the east, Harkensee and Feldhusen in the southeast, Johannstorf , Volkstorf and Pötenitz in the southwest and Priwall in the west.

Personalities
