The F9 was a road in Corsica that was established in 1854 by the Décret Impérial in 1782. It was created to open up Corsican forests for the timber industry. Operated by the state, it was a national road. The F9 initially led from Marine de Porto to the Forêt de Valdu-Niellu. In 1863 it was then extended to Francardo . Their length was 81 kilometers.

In 1976 it was downgraded west of Évisa ; the rest followed in 1978. Since then it has been called the D84.

F9a

The F9 A was a side branch of the F9, which was established in 1933. It ran from Évisa to the N195. Its length was 2 kilometers. Today it bears the number D24.
