The F4 was a road in Corsica that was established in 1854 by the Décret Impérial in 1782. It was created to open up one of Corsica's forests for the timber industry. Operated by the state, it was a national road. The F4 connected the N196 north of Sartène with the port of Solenzara. Their length was 71 kilometers. In 1862 it gave a short piece to the newly established N196 BIS and was thus divided into two parts. The length fell to 66.5 kilometers. In 1973 it was downgraded.
