Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys is an Italo Schlager band from Augsburg and Munich that was active under the name Roberto Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys until shortly before the release of their debut album Greatest Hits in March 2020 .

history

The group has submitted to the strict concept of a pop band from Italy that has allegedly existed since 1982 . This concept is reflected in an invented band biography, which has been consistently represented externally by the two frontmen Roy Bianco and Die Abbrunzati Boys since the actual foundation in 2016. According to this biography, the group was founded in 1982 by Roy Bianco ( vocals ) and Die Abbrunzati Boys ( guitar , vocals) in Sirmione on Lake Garda . International fame is achieved for the first time with the award for the best young artist at the International Schlager Festival in Rio de Janeiro in 1984, a successor to the German Schlager Festival . During the same period, the two front men also get to know the future members of their show band , with whom Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys traditionally perform live. After further successes and awards, at the end of the 1990s the group was quiet, which disbanded in 1997. After a break of almost twenty years, the unexpected comeback is announced in the summer of 2016.

Since the release of the first and specially produced sound carrier Lieder, Forever on May 26, 2018, Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys have enjoyed growing popularity throughout the German-speaking region. The band was already represented at several national music festivals in 2018 and 2019 such as the MS Dockville , the Free & Easy Festival , the Appletree Garden Festival and the Modular Festival and on November 15, 2019 at the world record of 72 hours live broadcast of you can never do that! guest on ARD-alpha .

Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys have been under contract with RCA Records , a Sony Music Entertainment sub-label , since 2019 . The debut album Greatest Hits was recorded together with the Austrian producer Zebo Adam in Vienna and Graz and was released on March 20, 2020. The tour of the same name through Germany, Austria and Switzerland was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
