Appletree Garden Festival
The Appletree Garden Festival is a three-day open-air festival that takes place annually in Diepholz (Lower Saxony).
Alignment
The Appletree Garden Festival presents a cross-disciplinary music program every year with a focus on indie pop, electro and rock bands. In addition to well-known artists such as Metronomy , AnnenMayKantereit , Grizzly Bear , Tocotronic , Sophie Hunger , Bilderbuch or Crystal Fighters , unknown newcomers and up-and-coming bands also play at the festival. There is also a supporting program of readings, workshops and other show acts. The festival is held in Diepholz's Bürgerpark. The number of visitors is limited to 5,500 spectators.
Association for the Promotion of Youth Culture e. V.
The Association for the Promotion of Youth Culture e. V. was founded in 2001. The aim of the association is to organize the Appletree Garden Festival in Diepholz once a year. In the early years, other cultural events such as readings and music evenings were organized in the Diepholz area. The association consists for the most part of young people from the Diepholz, Hanover and Cologne area who work on a voluntary basis.
history
From 2001 to 2005 inclusive, the festival took place on an apple tree meadow in Cornau, Drebber . In the first few years mainly local and unknown artists appeared. The festival has been taking place in the Bürgerpark in Diepholz since 2006.
