Stefanie Sargnagel
Stefanie Sargnagel (bourgeois Stefanie Sprengnagel , born January 14, 1986 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author and artist .
Life
Sargnagel is the daughter of a nurse and a plumber. She grew up with her mother in Vienna- Hernals . After leaving school prematurely, she began studying fine arts with Daniel Richter at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna .
She wrote articles for Vice and Bayerischer Rundfunk , including about the Bachmann Prize , the Vienna Opera Ball and the FPÖ Oktoberfest.
Her experience as an employee of a call center is the basis of her debut work Binge Living - Callcenter-Monologe , which appeared in 2013. Her book Fitness , a compilation of Facebook posts, was published in 2015. At the invitation of the juror Sandra Kegel , she took part in the competition for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2016 , where she received the BKS Bank Audience Award endowed with 7,000 euros. In addition, she became Klagenfurt city clerk from May to September 2017 .
In 2017 her book Statusmachrichten was published by Rowohlt- Verlag with selected Facebook posts between 2015 and 2017 . In it, she describes the end of her job in a telephone directory assistance service as well as contact with refugees during the 2015 refugee crisis .
Your Facebook account was temporarily blocked in 2017. In 2019, in response to the fact that the satirical figure Hyäne Fischer Austria would not represent at the Eurovision Song Contest , the tweet "Austria, you stupid Huankind, I'll kill you." As a result, her Twitter account was temporarily blocked.
Sargnagel belongs to the fraternity Hysteria , a feminist group that parodies fraternities and u. a. attracted attention through actions at the Vienna Academics Ball . Her trademark is a red beret . Sargnagel wrote the couplets for the Nestroy Posse on behalf of the Schauspielhaus Graz. He wants to make a joke . The premiere took place on December 14, 2018. At Oktoberfest 2019, she researched the text Am Wiesnrand , the production of which Christina Tscharyiski premiered in January 2020 at the Munich Volkstheater . A stage-filling beer belly served as the scene .
