life and career

Childhood and youth

Natasha Sultana grew up in Melbourne. At the age of three, Sultana received her first guitar from her grandfather and began to show a passion for music as a child.

At the age of 17 years Sultana suffered after consuming psilocybin mushrooms a drug-induced psychosis , followed by nine months in therapy. Especially the music helped Sultana to find his way back to himself. During this time Sultana also taught herself to loop. In order to earn at least her own pocket money when asked by her mother, Sultana began solo street performances and gradually professionalized it.

Music career

Street appearances as well as live sessions recorded at home and published in social media and numerous smaller appearances in clubs and bars have led to an ever-increasing fan base around Sultana since 2013. In June 2016, Sultana was finally signed to Lemon Tree Music, a Melbourne management agency for up and coming local musicians. The agency then organized Sultana's first world tour with concerts in Australia , New Zealand , Germany , Great Britain and the Netherlands .

Sultana's song Jungle was included in the soundtrack of the soccer simulation FIFA 18 in 2017 .

Notion EP

On September 23, 2016, Sultana released the first EP entitled Notion on his own record label Lonely Lands Records . In early 2017, the EP was released as a multi-format with the help of the new partner (record label Mom + Pop Music) .
