Rubén Rochina Naixes (born March 23, 1991 in Sagunt , Valencia Province ) is a Spanish football player . The striker played for FC Barcelona in his youth and has been with UD Levante since 2018 .

Club career

Rochina joined in 2004 by the youth of the Valencia for FC Barcelona . Rochina initially played on the left wing at FC Barcelona, ​​but could not use his full potential there. Only when he was set up as a center forward in the 2006/07 season did he stand out in the youth teams with an impressive goal rate. For the 2008/09 season Rochina was appointed to the reserve team of FC Barcelona, ​​but continued to play for the A-youth until 2010. With the A-youth he won the Spanish championship in the 2008/09 season. A year later he rose with Barça B in the Segunda División , although he only played three league games for the team during the season.

In January 2011 Rochina moved to Blackburn Rovers for a transfer fee of € 450,000 . FC Barcelona has a right of first refusal in a possible sale of Rochina.

In the second half of the 2012/13 season he played on loan for Real Zaragoza , where he scored a goal in 15 games.

During the winter break of the 2013/14 season he went back to Spain on loan for half a year. He joined Rayo Vallecano . The Spanish first division club has a purchase option for Rochina.

2014 he moved to FC Granada .

After two years he went to Russia to Rubin Kazan , before moving to UD Levante after two more years .

National team career

With the Spanish U-17 national team Rubén was European champion at the EM 2008 . With the exception of the first game, which he missed due to suspension, Rochina was involved in every game. Rochina scored two goals in this tournament, both in the group stage against Ireland (3-1). Then Rochina was elected to the eleven of the tournament.

Two years later he was runner-up in his country's U-19 team at the tournament in France . However, Rochina did not get beyond the role of the joker and came in five games to a goal. Only in the last group game against Italy (3-0) was he in the starting line-up and scored the opening goal there. In the final qualification for this European Championship, he was able to contribute three goals in three games.
