Rudolf Fink (born May 29, 1913 in Augsburg , † September 20, 1980 in Munich ) was a German soccer player who played in goal for Bayern Munich between 1934 and 1950 .

Career

At the age of 21, Fink was a member of the FC Bayern Munich squad, for which he first played in the Gauliga Bayern from the 1934/45 season . In addition to point games, he was also used twice in games for the Tschammerpokal , the forerunner of the DFB-Pokal competition. On August 28, 1938 he guarded the gate in the 7-0 win against Union Böckingen in the first final round ; in the second final round , he had to deal with his team in Mannheim the VfR with 1: 2 beaten. Against this team he was eliminated with FC Bayern Munich on April 16, 1944 in the first round of the German championship - also 1: 2, this time after extra time .

After the end of the Second World War , he continued his career in the newly founded Oberliga Süd in 1945 - and in Germany as the first Oberliga . In the 1945/46 season he played 27 of 30 point games, in the top German division at the time. In 1946/47 he completed 30 of 38 point games and finished eleventh in the table with Bayern . In his last league season he contributed with 33 of 38 point games to fourth place in the table. He also played a total of 27 friendlies, his last five in the seasons 1948/49 and 1949/50 in which he could not add any other league games. He then ended his active football career at the age of 37.
