course
Moat
The Wiergraben rises at an altitude of 561 m above sea level. NN northeast of Ostheim , south of Spielberg and northwest of Heidenheim in the area of the community Gnotzheim in the forest won Herrleinsholz . The source is located north of the Roten Bucks and east of the Wachtlerberg . The Wiergraben initially flows to the west and then turns back to the south. It flows into the Rangenschlaggraben.
Rangenschlaggraben
The Rangenschlaggraben rises at a height of 504 m above sea level. NN at the foot of the Galgenberg northwest of Ostheim ( location ). After he has crossed the federal highway 466 on an approximately easterly course, opens at a height of 482 m above sea level. NN from the left the Wiergraben. ( Location ) After that, the brook moves south along the main road and through two smaller ponds and finally flows out at an altitude of 477 m above sea level. NN next to the St 2218 in the book moat coming from the east.
The water is 1.3 kilometers long and drains a 1.3 km² catchment area.
Book moat
The headwaters of the Buchgraben are located on the Roten Buck in the municipality of Heidenheim , its apparently nameless, northernmost main strand upper course rises at an altitude of 546 m above sea level. NN ( location ) and after about three hundred meters shortly after crossing under the St 2218 it takes in the last of several other feathered upper reaches from the headwaters, which arise at not very different heights, which is located in a semicircular erosion bay on the wooded western slope of the Roten Buck. It then flows to the west at a more or less distance from the state road. The Rangenschlaggraben flows into it north of Ostheim ( Lage ) and it turns to the south. The Roethgraben flows from the left and southeast near the Ostheimer sports field . The Buchgraben then soon channeled southwest through Ostheim and unites in the village at the corner of Dorfstrasse and Ostheimer Hauptstrasse at an altitude of 463 m above sea level. NN with the Salzbrunnengraben to the Bruckbach.
Bruckbach
After its formation from the Buchgraben and Salzbrunnengraben, the Bruckbach initially flows canalized through Ostheim and also after the local border long to the southwest and parallel to the federal highway 466 . In Westheim , which is mostly on the left , the main road changes over it from the right and then leaves the valley, the Bruckbach itself then runs west and at less than 430 m above sea level. NN past the wooded Brauner Berg (approx. 465 m above sea level ) on the right, while on the left the valley runs flat to Wörnitz; Only beyond the barely noticeable watershed on this side does the Auwald nature reserve near Westheim limit the open valley floor. Here it also crosses into the district of Ansbach and passes the Holderberg, which is open to the top (approx. 463 m above sea level ) on the continuing right ridge of the hill. It then touches Auhausen , which borders the north bank , only a few houses in the village are on the left. Finally, the Bruckbach flows southwest of the town center at an altitude of 417 m above sea level. NN from the left into the Wörnitz.
For almost the entire course of its course, the Bruckbach flows through a wide open landscape , part of its upper courses and tributaries arise in hillside forests that frame them.
