Daniel Rudslätt (born September 8, 1974 in Huddinge ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player and current manager, who was most recently under contract at AIK Ishockey as a sports director until summer 2015 . During his active career, Rundslätt was among others for Brynäs IF , Djurgårdens IF and AIK Stockholm in the Elitserien as well as for the Kölner Haie in the German ice hockey league .
Career
Rudslätt began his career with the Swedish ice hockey club Järfälla HC , in whose professional team he received his first appearances in Division 2 at the age of 17 . The winger played for the club until 1995, regularly improving his scoring rate. For the 1995/96 season , the left shooter moved to the second division Arlanda Wings HC to develop further. After three years in Division 1 , Rudslätt signed a contract with the Elitserien club Brynäs IF , with which he won the Swedish championship title in his first year . Although the attacker continued to develop and improve his game, there were no further successes with the team in the following years. In 2002 Rudslätt decided to move to Djurgårdens IF , with whom he was able to celebrate reaching the semi-finals again in the first season together without being able to repeat the success in the following years. In the 2005/06 season , the striker missed the play-offs with the club despite his strongest season to date in the top division .
For the 2006/07 season , Rudslätt switched to the Kölner Haien for one year , where he extended his contract for two more seasons in December 2006. In the summer of 2010 he left the sharks and returned to Sweden. There he was hired by AIK Stockholm . After two seasons in the jersey of the capital city, the Swede ended his active career.
For the 2013/14 season Rundslätt was active as sports director at AIK and after the dismissal of the coaching staff in March 2014, he looked after the team together with Mattias Norström as head coach on an interim basis, but could no longer prevent the team from relegating to HockeyAllsvenskan . In the 2014/15 season , the Swede was back in his original position of sports director, before being replaced by Anders Gozzi in summer 2015 .
