The Ruppersdorfer Wasser , also called Ruppersdorfer Bach , is a little more than six kilometers long brook that rises in two arms of the spring on the eastern slope of the Kottmar and flows through Ruppersdorf in an easterly direction before it flows into the Petersbach near Niederruppersdorf Castle . On its way, the stream overcomes a difference in altitude of about 130 meters.

use

As with many Upper Lusatian brooks, the water of the Ruppersdorfer water was previously used as a drive for several mills and sawmills. In 1928 a water reservoir was created on the arms of the spring, which fed the Ruppersdorf drinking water pipeline.
