Rush of Fear - Dangerous Prey (Original title: Rush of Fear ) is an American action film from 2002 . Directed by Walter Klenhard , who wrote the script together with Lucian Truscott IV .

action

John Gillis, Vin and Carly steal a diamond from De Beers . Carly hides the stone in her toiletry bag, which she leaves in a rental car. The car is rented by married couple Alex and Jack McGuire, who are on vacation.

Jack McGuire is kidnapped by the thieves who want to get the diamond back. Alex fights the kidnappers with the help of the manager of an IT company and business partner of Jack McGuire, Sam Bryant. Meanwhile, Sheriff Lathrop is convinced that Alex himself has criminal intentions and pursues them.

Sam Bryant is injured and admitted to hospital. Carly dies in the water into which the diamond falls; Alex saves her husband. Sheriff Lathrop apologizes to her. She spends some time in the hospital keeping the recovering Bryant company.

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was “a technically solid (television) crime thriller without any particular surprises” .

The magazine prisma described the film as "exciting" . It offers “action-packed interludes” and impresses with the “delightful backdrop of the American east coast” .
