Ruyigi is a province of Burundi . It is located in the east of the country and borders on Tanzania . Their capital is also called Ruyigi .

In 2007 Ruyigi has about 387,000 inhabitants.

Ruyigi is divided into the seven districts ( communes ) Butaganzwa , Butezi , Bweru , Gisuru , Kinyinya , Nyabitsinda and Ruyigi.
