Sándor Noszály (born March 16, 1972 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian tennis player .

Career

Noszály was mainly active on the second-rate Challenger Tour . In doubles he won one title in his career: in 1994 he won together with Karim Alami in Tashkent . He achieved his best result on the ATP Tour in 1995, when he was able to advance to the semi-finals as a qualifier in Bucharest . In Grand Slam tournaments , he never got past the first round. He reached his highest single place in the world rankings on September 18, 1995 with position 95, making him the first Hungarian top 100 player since Balázs Taróczy 1984. In doubles he reached rank 192 in May 1995.

In 1992 and 1996 he took part in the Summer Olympics in Barcelona and Atlanta . In 1996 he competed in singles and in 1992 in doubles. In doubles in 1992, he would have met Romanians George Cosac and Dinu Pescariu in the first round , but he and László Markovits had to give up the game due to an injury to Markovits.
