The Linderspitzen are three peaks in the Karwendel on the border between Germany ( Bavaria ) and Austria ( Tyrol ). From north to south, these are the Northern Linderspitze ( 2372  m above sea level ), Middle Linderspitze ( 2239  m above sea level ) and Southern Linderspitze ( 2305  m above sea level ).

Location and surroundings

The Linderspitzen are in the middle of the northern Karwendel range , which separates the Bavarian Isar valley in the west from the Austrian Karwendel valley in the southeast. The next town is Mittenwald, about two kilometers to the northwest . The next summit, following the ridge of the Northern Karwendel Range in a northerly direction, is the Western Karwendelspitze . The Sulzleklammspitze ( 2321  m above sea level ) follows in a southerly direction . In between there is a simple refuge, jokingly marked with a traffic sign "Bicycle ban". The state border follows the ridge directly.

Climbs

The Mittenwalder Höhenweg , a simple via ferrata, runs on the ridge of the northern Karwendel chain, which can be reached from the north via the Karwendelbahn from Mittenwald or from the south from the Tiroler Hütte ( 2153  m above sea level ). Alternatively, there is an approach via the Heinrich-Noe-Steig coming from the Brunnsteinhütte .
