The SRH University of Health is a private , state-recognized, institutionally accredited university in Gera , Thuringia , by the Science Council .

history

In the summer of 2006 the SRH University for Health in Gera was founded as a technical college and in spring 2007 it was officially recognized by the Free State of Thuringia. Studies began in the 2007 winter semester. In 2016 it was renamed the SRH University for Health and has had the status of a university since then.

Location

Until the beginning of 2014, the university was based in the Villa Hirsch in Gera. In March 2014, the move to the new campus, a building built by David Chipperfield , which formerly housed the Gera branch of the Landeszentralbank , took place. External locations of the university are in Düsseldorf, Leverkusen, Bonn, Heidelberg, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.

Over 1300 students were enrolled in the 17 courses of study at the university in the 2020/2021 winter semester. The range of courses is based on the increasing academization of health professions. Offered Bachelor and Master programs .
