style

Chipperfield's stylistic stance results from both an intensive appropriation of classical modernism and an influence from contemporary Japanese architecture. He prefers natural, coordinated materials, his rather minimalist design language assigns him a position that has left postmodern formulas behind.

His approach is characterized by the examination of the location and context of a building and the idea of creating public space that represents added value for society.
