Sabine Klenz , née Sabine Herbst , today Sabine Krauß (born June 27, 1974 in Leipzig ), is a former German swimmer .

Career

From 1985 Klenz trained at the DHfK children's and youth sports school in Leipzig, sometimes together with Kristin Otto and Silke Hörner . With her ex-husband Karl-Heinz Klenz, who belongs to the extended circle of the men's national swimming team, she has a son named Ramon Klenz , who is also a successful swimmer. She was also trained by her mother Eva Herbst when she was active . Her four years younger brother Stefan Herbst was part of the German men's freestyle relay over 4 × 100 m.

Olympic games

Sabine Klenz took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . In Atlanta she swam the 200 m butterfly, 200 m medley and 400 m medley. In Sydney she swam the 200 m medley and 400 m medley.
