Marek Mirosław Saganowski (born October 31, 1978 in Łódź ) is a former Polish football player .

Career

society

Already at the age of seventeen he was considered to be one of the greatest forward talent in Poland and then moved from ŁKS Łódź to Feyenoord Rotterdam at the age of eighteen . After a bad year with only a few missions, he was loaned to Hamburger SV , where he was also unable to show the talent he had hoped for. After only one season, he moved back to the ŁKS Łódź and showed his footballing skills there again. Via the detour Wisła Płock (then Orlen Płock) and Odra Wodzisław Śląski he came to Legia Warsaw , where he matured to become a national player. In 2005, Legia Warsaw sold it to Vitória Guimarães for 750,000 euros . His 13 hits could not save the club from relegation. Despite alleged offers from FC Porto and Benfica Lisbon , he decided to move to ES Troyes AC in France , but was loaned to Southampton FC until the end of the season due to disputes with the coach and the board of directors and was firmly committed after the season ended . In August 2008, Marek Saganowski moved, on loan, to the Danish champions Aalborg BK . On October 21, 2008, he scored his first goal in the Champions League against Villarreal . For the second half of the 2008/09 season, Marek Saganowski is back in England for Southampton FC . On January 26, 2010 he signed a contract with the Greek first division club Atromitos . In Greece he completed a total of 34 league games in which he scored five goals. In summer 2011 he returned to his hometown club ŁKS Łódź. Despite his six goals in 29 league games, Saganowski could not prevent relegation. On July 1, 2012 Saganowski signed a one-year contract with his ex-club Legia Warsaw.

National team

For the Polish national soccer team , Marek Saganowski has completed a total of 34 international matches since 1996 and scored five goals. In 2008 he took part in the European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland .
