Saint-Fort is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne with 1670 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Saint-Fortais .
The municipality of Saint-Fort merged with Château-Gontier and Azé on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Saint-Fort was part of the arrondissement of Château-Gontier and the canton of Azé (until 2015: canton of Château-Gontier-Est ).

Saint-Fort is located on the Mayenne river , which borders the Commune déléguée in the northeast, and is a banlieue of Château-Gontier . The municipality of Saint-Fort was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Château-Gontier in the north and west, Azé in the northeast, Ménil in the south and east and Chemazé in the west and southwest.
