Saints of Los Angeles is the comeback - album of glam rock band Motley Crue , which was published on June 24 of 2008.
prehistory
After Tommy Lee left the band in 1999 and replacement Randy Castillo had to leave in 2001 due to health problems (and died in 2002), the band became quiet. While the members met with Lee to write the autobiography The Dirt , the three remaining members and Tommy Lee all went their separate ways. Lee and Vince Neil went on solo, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx took care of their private lives. In 2004 Sixx claimed that he and Neil were back in the studio and that he was planning to tour Mötley Crüe. The studio work became the best of album Red, White & Crüe with three new songs, and Lee also came back to the band. In 2005 the Carnival of Sins Reunion Tour began, and a live album was also created. Sixx also announced that there would be a new album, but that it would still take time.
In fact, the single Saints of Los Angeles was released in April 2008 in which the singers of the Crüefest bands Trapt , Buckcherry , Sixx: AM (producer James Michael ) and Papa Roach sang along. The album came out in June 2008. This makes Crüe one of the bands that made their comeback in 2008 (with AC / DC , Guns n 'Roses , Motörhead and Metallica )
