Sally Bollywood is a French cartoon series that has been broadcast in France since 2009 and in Germany on Super RTL since 2010 .

Twelve year old Sally Bollywood lives with her father Harry, a famous detective , in the city of Little Bombay. Since the girl wants to be like her father, she and her best friend Doowee set up a detective agency: "Sally Bollywood Investigation" (SBI). Together, the two solve many cases for the children from their Little Bombay High school. But they only have time for their investigations during the holidays and on weekends, unless the director personally instructs them to investigate unusual incidents.

Sally Bollywood
Sally Bollywood is the main character and also a sports fanatic. She has mastered the martial art Kalarippayat , from which many movements of the Indian dance emerge. When she grows up, she also wants to be a detective. Your best friend and partner of the SBI detective agency is Doowee. Sally is from India .
Doowee McAdam
Doowee McAdam is Sally's neighbor and best friend. They also founded the SBI detective agency together. He is also a technology specialist, so he invents many things (e.g. special glasses) that are very useful in investigations. Doowee is from Scotland .
Harry Bollywood
Harry Bollywood is the father of Sally and Little Bombay's greatest private investigator. When his wife died while Sally was born, he went into business for himself so that he could take better care of his daughter.
Mrs. Apu
Her real name is Mrs. Apuhaikaarâmbharâ. When Harry was little she started working for Bollywood as his nanny. Now she is the housekeeper and mainly provides the family with delicious Indian meals.

The original French version of the title song Détective sans peur is sung by the successful pop musician Nâdiya , the German version by the singer and actress Anita Hopt .

Production and publication

The series based on an idea by Pepper Sue and Elastik Jane was produced on behalf of France 3 . It has been broadcast by France 3 in France since October 26, 2009. The German premiere has been on Disney Channel since May 7, 2010 . This was followed by a repetition on Super RTL .
