Salomon Klein

Salomon Klein (born August 12, 1845 in Miskolc , † April 12, 1937 in Budapest ) was an Austrian ophthalmologist .

Life

Salomon Klein, born in Northern Hungary in 1845 , studied medicine at the University of Vienna , which he received in 1870 with the Dr. med. and chir. and graduated with a master's degree in obstetrics . He received his first job in the years 1872 to 1875 as an assistant to Eduard Jäger von Jaxtthal . He then worked as an assistant to Ludwig Mauthner (1840-1894) at the polyclinic. Klein's university career began in 1884 as a private lecturer in ophthalmology.

In 1902 he received an extraordinary titular professorship. In 1914 he was appointed associate professor at the University of Vienna. In addition, from 1895 Salomon Klein worked as head of the eye department of the outpatient clinic, as head ophthalmologist at the Rothschild Hospital and the Israelite Institute for the Blind on the Hohe Warte, and as an ophthalmologist at the hospital for scrofulous children in Baden , where he practiced in the summer from 1892 and chairman of the spa doctors was. In 1924 he resigned from the hospital practice.

Act
