Turin Motor Show
The Turin Motor Show , officially Salone dell'automobile di Torino , was a world-famous motor show ( trade fair for automobiles) in the Italian city of Turin . It took place officially for the first time in Turin from April 21 to 24, 1900 until the year 2000 and was usually held there annually (see below for exceptions).
Initially, the vehicle fair primarily served to present vehicle models, prototypes and design studies by local vehicle manufacturers and body construction companies . Many foreign manufacturers later presented their products there. In 2002 and the following years the exhibition was canceled due to a lack of interest from most of the Italian automobile manufacturers and the general economic situation in the automobile industry .
