Salvatore Baccaro (born May 6, 1944 in Roccamandolfi , Molise , † October 3, 1984 in Novara ) was an Italian actor in the film.

Life

Baccaro, who suffered from acromegaly , worked as a florist near the Paolis Studios and was cast by an assistant director for a small role in Damiano Damiani's La moglie più bella due to his unusual appearance (short, stocky, thickly haired and distinctive face) . From then until his untimely death he was active in over sixty other films; including many classics of the trash film and understandably horror films . His roles ranged from comic characters in medieval films and comedies to Neanderthals. In his most famous role, in Luigi Batzella's La bestia in calore , he tears out women’s pubic hair in order to eat them afterwards. In addition, he has also worked for directors such as Dario Argento , Alberto Sordi and Dino Risi . Imaginative pseudonyms such as Sal Boris or Boris Lugosi accompanied him here. His untimely death was only known years later through an interview with his brother for an Italian television program.
