The Salzlackenkopf is 577.7  m above sea level. NHN one of the highest elevations in the Odenwald . It is located in a large closed forest area in the Neckar-Odenwald district of Baden-Württemberg in the west of the Reisenbach district of the Mudau community . Around 700 m south-southeast of the Salzlackenkopf is the Köpfchen ( 567  m ) on a common ridge , which is followed further east by the Hart ( 580.8  m ) with the Reisenbach telecommunications tower . The Hart can be regarded as the main peak of this mountain range. The state border to Hesse is around one kilometer to the east and two kilometers to the north from the Salzlackenkopf. This is where the Oberzent - Kailbach forest area begins . While the altitude of the Salzlackenkopf has only gentle inclines, the middle layers drop steeply to the south-west and north into deeply cut valleys, sometimes over 200 meters in altitude.
