Samuel Heath Jaeger (born January 29, 1977 in Perrysburg , Ohio ) is an American actor , screenwriter , film producer and film director .

Short biography

Charles and LeAnne Jaeger's son grew up in Perrysburg, where he graduated from college in 1995 . He then enrolled at Otterbein College in Westerville , Ohio, where he received his bachelor's degree in art history in 1999 .

Jaeger therefore began acting relatively late by Hollywood standards and appeared in front of the camera for the first time in 1999, at the age of 22, with Diana Ross and Brandy Norwood in the television film Double Platinum . Jaeger's first major film was the 2001 action film Im Fadenkreuz - Alone Against All with Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson in the lead roles. A year later, he starred with Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell in The Tribunal .

Jaeger has also appeared in television series such as Scrubs (2003) and Welcome, Mrs. President (2006) in front of the camera. From 2008 to 2009, Jaeger was one of the cast in the Eli Stone lawyer series .

In 2003 Jaeger wrote the screenplay for the comedy film Advantage Hart , which he also produced and in which he played the lead role alongside Kate Bosworth and Matt Czuchry . In 2011 he made his directorial debut with the drama Take Me Home .

Sam Jaeger has been married to Amber Marie Mellott since August 2007; the couple now live in Los Angeles .
