Samir Fazli ( Macedonian Самир Фазли ; born April 22, 1991 in Skopje ) is a Macedonian football player who has both Macedonian and Albanian citizenship. The striker has been under contract with FC Wil in the Swiss Challenge League since August 2014 .
Club career
Samir Fazli was born and raised in Skopje, but for a while he attended Jasper Place Composite High School in Edmonton , Canada . In 2007 he came back to Skopje. Fazli went through the entire youth area of Makedonija Skopje , in the 2008/09 season the striker played his first professional season at Makedonija. With the capital club he won the Macedonian championship title at the end of the season .
After he came to 28 appearances in the 2008/09 season and scored three goals, he moved to SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands at the age of 17 . He signed with the Frisians until 2014.
He made his debut in the 2009/10 season against Willem II Tilburg , when he came on for Gerald Sibon . He scored the first goal in the game against NEC Nijmegen , after he came on the field in the 81st minute of the game and scored the 4-1 final score.
