Sammy Sheik (born November 15, 1981 in Alexandria , Egypt ) is an Egyptian actor who is often cast on terrorist roles in American productions.

life and career

Sheik was born in Alexandria and grew up with his twin, a younger brother and a sister. Soon after high school he went to the United States and studied drama in New York . This was the opportunity for him to become an actor. He has been active as such since 2003, often appearing in well-known US productions, both in film and television. His appearances on television include a. Homeland , Navy CIS or 24 .

In 2013 he starred as Taraq in the war film Lone Survivor . The film was based on real experiences of the Navy Seal in the Afghanistan war . A year later, he played the role of Mustafa in the film American Sniper by Clint Eastwood .
