Sampo Rosenlew Oy is a mechanical engineering company based in Pori, Finland . Since 2003 there has been a production facility for hydraulic components in Jyväskylä . Sampo Components is located in Nakkila , where parts for the metal industry are manufactured.

At 60%, combine harvester sales account for the largest share of sales.

history

In 1853 Oy W. Rosenlew Ab began transporting wood , slowly developing a wide range of agricultural machines. The first self-propelled combine was presented in 1957. Today's Sampo Rosenlew Ltd was founded in 1991 through a management buy-out . In 1997, after a long development period, the first harvester was presented.

Since 2010, the CMA Sampo joint venture, which was founded together with the Algerian company Construction Agricultural Equipment (CMA) , has primarily been manufacturing smaller combine harvesters in Algeria.

In 2011 the company was restructured and the Comia series was introduced instead of the 2000 series . A new logo was introduced in early 2013. In August of the same year a cooperation with John Deere began . John Deere introduced the W440 and W330 combines in 2014 and 2015, which were derived from the Comia series. These are offered in Western and Central Europe , but not in Northern Europe . In addition, combine harvesters have been sold in Kazakhstan under the brand name Sampo Asia since 2015 . These are made in cooperation with Kaztekmash .

In March 2016, a strategic partnership was entered into with the Indian vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Limited . Mahindra & Mahindra took a 35 percent stake in Sampo Rosenlew.

Current series

In the field of harvester is in Europe mainly Comia series C8, C10 and C12 offered, it consists of the models C6. The smaller Verrato V4 is also available. The timber harvester Sampo Rosenlew HR46X and the forwarder Sampo Rosenlew FR28 are also produced.
