The district of Rastice was mentioned for the first time in 1237 as Castrenes de Mager . The origin of the name lies in the name of one of the ancient Hungarian tribes. The place belonged to the estate of the Pressburg Castle , then from the middle of the 14th century the Olgyai , Dankházy , Csorba , Illesházy families , until 1553 the Bratislava Poor Clares and Paulus orders acquired the place, who acquired the property until the end of the 18th century maintained. Although the municipality was deprived of the right to hold markets every week in 1673, it became a market town again in 1699.

Until 1918/1919 the place in Pressburg County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary , after which it came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia . 1938-1945 he was again part of Hungary due to the First Vienna Arbitration .
