Kyselica (Hungarian Keszölcés ) is a municipality in southwest Slovakia with 190 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Dunajská Streda , part of the Trnavský kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the central part of the Great Schüttinsel , part of the Slovak Danube lowlands . A part of the municipality is the place through the channel of the Danube - hydroelectric Gabčíkovo cut off. The town center is at an altitude of 122 m nm and is eight and a half kilometers from Šamorín , 19 kilometers from Dunajská Streda and 33 kilometers from Bratislava .
Neighboring municipalities are Rohovce in the north and east, Vojka nad Dunajom and Dunasziget (H) in the south, Dobrohošť in the west and Báč in the north-west.
history
Kyselica was first mentioned in writing as Keszulche in 1296 ; other sources give the year 1205. It belonged to the Archdiocese of Gran , whose local property was administered from Vajka. The inhabitants were predialists (members of the lower nobility) of the archbishopric until the end of feudalism in the 19th century. In 1828 there were 39 houses and 281 inhabitants.
Until 1919, the place in Pressburg County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. 1938-45 he was again in Hungary due to the First Vienna Arbitration . In 1940 the village was incorporated into the then Hungarian municipality of Vajka, today Vojka nad Dunajom, but in 1989 it was incorporated into Rohovce .
Since July 1, 1993, Kyselica has been independent again.
population
According to the 2011 census, 151 inhabitants lived in Kyselica, 114 of them Magyars, 24 Slovaks and one German and one Moravian. 11 residents gave no answer. 128 residents committed to the Roman Catholic Church, three residents to the Evangelical Church AB, two residents to the Old Catholic Church and one resident to the Jewish community. Seven residents had no denomination and ten residents had no denomination.
