Dunajský Klátov (until 1948 in Slovak "Tőkés"; in Hungarian Dunatőkés - until 1907 Tőkés ) is a municipality in southwest Slovakia with 716 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Dunajská Streda , part of the Trnavský kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Great Schüttinsel , part of the Slovak Danube lowlands . The branch of the Little Danube , Klátovské rameno , named after the place , marks the northern border of the municipality. The center of the village lies at an altitude of 113 m nm and is eight kilometers from Dunajská Streda .
Neighboring communities are Jahodná in the north, Ohrady in the east, Veľké Dvorníky in the south, Malé Dvorníky in the southwest and very briefly Dunajská Streda in the west.
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1392 as Theukes . In 1553 it belonged to the estate of the Zombor and Kondé families and had a total of seven porta . In the 19th century the Haberman family owned goods in the village. In 1828 there were 29 houses and 220 inhabitants.
Until 1919, the place in Pressburg County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. 1938-45 he was again in Hungary due to the First Vienna Arbitration .
From 1960 to 1990 Dunajský Klátov was incorporated into the Jahodná municipality.
population
According to the 2011 census, there were 510 inhabitants in Dunajský Klátov, including 413 Magyars, 92 Slovaks and one German and one Roma. Three residents made no statement. 434 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 24 residents to the Reformed Church, six residents to the Evangelical Church AB, three residents to the Greek Catholic Church and one resident each to the Evangelical Methodist Church and one to the Czechoslovak Hussite Church; one resident professed a different denomination. 23 residents had no denomination and the denomination of 18 residents was not determined.
